Life's too short to have boring walls
Sara Watkins is a Pittsburgh-based artist and the creative force behind SwatShoppe. As a self-proclaimed maximalist, Sara uses bold colors, funky patterns, and impressionistic brushstrokes through her mixed media and painting pieces that often focus on pop culture, feminism, and her community in Pittsburgh.
Sara and her art have been featured on Talk Pittsburgh and PA Eats, displayed in small businesses, and showcased in markets throughout the city, including the Three Rivers Arts Festival and Pittsburgh Pride.
After double majoring in Political Science and Studio Art in college, Sara chose to pursue a career as an attorney. Long hours practicing law took Sara away from her art for several years until she found her craft again through the pandemic. Since then, Sara finds ways to balance both her legal career and her creative journey.
